Solely Southwold comprises Upper East Lodge and Lower East Lodge in East Street, 58 Victoria Street and Happy Cottage in Lorne Road. Each is a self catering holiday home in the heart of Southwold owned by Kathy Oliver with John & Janet Trussler. Established since 1995, we provide the traditional service for which Southwold is famous.
Each home is cared for personally by the owners. The Guestbook tells our story.

Our homes are ideal for a family holiday or a cosy get-a-way break throughout the year (there are games and in-house libraries to suit all tastes).

Each home is well presented to a high standard and VisitEngland Quality in Tourism rated at 3 stars. Happy Cottage has received their Gold Award.

Free secure Wi-Fi is available in all homes.

Sofa beds are for occasional use only – maximum of 3 nights / week.

Duvets and pillows are provided, plus blankets in East Lodge, but (to keep our charges down) no bed linen or towels.

Pet Policy

One well behaved dog is welcome at all our cottages but we regret that we are not able to welcome puppies.

No Smoking

All of our cottages are designated as non-smoking so please do not smoke at all indoors.

Upper East Lodge sleeps up to 7 people on the upper floors of  a 200 year old town house in East Street. Recently refurbished to a high standard this flat is spacious and comfortable.

58 Victoria Street is a traditional, quaint cottage that sleeps 3. Located close to the seaside but still very much in the heart of Southwold.

Happy Cottage in Lorne Road, is a charming period cottage, beautifully re-furbished, tastefully furnished and well equipped, and can sleep up to 6 people.

All 4 Solely Southwold holiday homes are assessed by Visit England and have attained a 3* listing. In addition Happy Cottage has gained a Gold Award.
